If you feel more safe and secure walking the Camino in an organized group – it takes nothing away from your Camino. Your Camino, your rules.

I’ve travelled solo in many countries and I genuinely love it. But when I walked the Lycian Way in Turkey – one of the most spectacular long-distance hikes in the world – I joined an organized tour. And I couldn’t have been happier about that decision. Someone else handled the logistics, the accommodation, the route planning. I just walked and enjoyed. There’s a real freedom in that, surprisingly.

The Camino is very walkable solo – that’s part of its magic. But if you’re not sure about navigating a foreign country alone, if you’d feel better knowing someone has your back, or if you simply want to show up and walk without spending weeks planning – an organized tour is a perfectly valid choice. Thousands of pilgrims do it every year.

TourRadar is my recommendation for finding organized Camino tours. It brings together hundreds of tour operators from around the world in one place – you can compare routes, prices, group sizes, languages, and departure dates all in one search. No need to hunt through dozens of individual company websites.

Whatever way you walk it – it counts. Buen Camino. 🌟
